Jakarta, March 27, 2024 – PLN Pusat Sertifikasi (Pusertif) has forged a partnership with the PLN Institute of Technology (ITPLN) in the field of cable testing assignments. The collaboration was officially established with the signing of an agreement held at the Graha YPK or ITPLN’s S2 Campus located in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.
The signing ceremony was attended by General Manager of PLN Pusat Sertifikasi (Pusertif), Purnomo, Senior Manager of Planning for Standardization and Quality Services Astri Kartika El Nur, along with their team, ITPLN Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M K, MT., and Vice Rector IV Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pawenary, IPU., ASEAN Eng. and his staff.
In his remarks, Purnomo stated, “There are two things I want to emphasize, namely, collaboration and social responsibility. Based on this, the collaboration between Pusertif and ITPLN is established. In the context of PLN incorporated, we must support its progress.”
ITPLN has numerous laboratories available for teaching activities, and collaboration with the industry is also possible. Collaboration between Pusertif and ITPLN occurs when the industry needs to test cables to be used or produced, Pusertif can recommend or appoint ITPLN to conduct the test.
Prof. Iwa said, “This collaboration is a challenge, especially when Mr. Pur conveyed the opportunities available at Pusertif. The research and laboratories owned by ITPLN will be maximized and collaborated with the industry as much as possible.”
“This collaboration signifies that the industry and academia can collaborate and benefit each other. For example, we can send our students to conduct research and experiments at Pusertif, which is very positive for the research world,” added Prof. Iwa.
ITPLN continues to strive to obtain collaborations that can support its vision of becoming an internationally renowned, modern, independent, and superior university in the field of energy and environmentally sustainable technology.
