From 1989 until now, he is a teaching staff at the Department of Electrical Engineering, FT UI. Iwa Garniwa had the opportunity to take a short-term High Voltage Engineering course at Cardiff University, England, and was given the opportunity to take part in the World Bank's "Electricity Conservation in Commercial and domestic sub-sector organization experience" training. Not only that, before he served as the Rector of Institut Teknologi PLN, he was entrusted with the position of Chairman of Electrical Power and Energy Studies (EPES), Member of the Electricity Accreditation Committee (PAK) of DJK ESDM. From 2008 to 2013, he served as Director of Energy Studies, Universitas Indonesia.

Iwa Garniwa is a Member of the National Research Council of the Energy Engineering Commission, Member of the Electric Power System Reliability Committee of the Directorate General of Electricity and Energy Utilization of ESDM. He is also a member of the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI) Expert Council, BRESL Electric Motor Technical Working Group (TWG), BRESL Technical Working Group (TWG) Expert Regional Project Management Unit (RPMU), PJCI Member, and PII Expert Council.

In addition to being active and experienced in the field of academics and practitioners, until now, he is also active as a resource person in various events related to energy and electricity.

In addition to her teaching duties, Susy Rostiyanti is actively involved in research, with publications in various esteemed international journals and recognized national journals. In addition to publishing research in numerous prestigious international journals, Susy Rostiyanti also serves actively as a peer reviewer for reputable publications, including the Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction, the International Journal of Construction Management, and Construction Management and Economics.

Since 1998 and continuing to the present, she has held a faculty position in the field of Civil Engineering, with a focus on Construction and Engineering Management. Early in her career, Susy Rostiyanti published a book on heavy equipment in the construction industry, which has become a standard reference at numerous universities throughout Indonesia. Susy Rostiyanti also actively participates in a variety of consultancy endeavors within her field of expertise, including serving as an expert in the development of international madrasahs, a strategic initiative of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. An additional active duty entails serving as an expert witness in judicial reviews before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia concerning the Regional Tax and Retribution Law and the Road Traffic and Transportation Law. Since 2017, Susy Rostiyanti has been a member of the Indonesian Quantity Surveyor Association.

Having a great career at PT PLN (Persero) since 1985 in the field of Distribution, Transmission, and Generation with the longest career in the field of power generation. And finally, a career at PT PLN (Persero) at PUSLITBANG as General Manager. After a career at PT PLN (Persero), he continued with a career at IPP and O & M service companies, as directors and commissioners.

Joined ITPLN as a lecturer since 2016 until now.
