THE BEST 788 STUDENTS ARE READY TO DIVE IN TO PROVIDE SOLUTIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY

JAKARTA, 18 November 2021 – Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) held the 39th graduation for 788 students and master’s degree students, undergraduates, and associates in a hybrid way, both online (in the network) and offline (outside the network) at Sasana Kriya Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, Thursday (18/11).

ITPLN’s 39th graduation was the first graduation to be held at Sasana Kriya after previously being held online and limited due to the Covid- 19 pandemic. Out of 788 graduates, 165 graduates attended offline graduations and 623 attended online. In addition to ITPLN leaders and academics, the graduation ceremony was also attended by the Management of the PLN Education and Welfare Foundation (YPK), Mr. Syamsurizal.

This graduation has increased the number of ITPLN graduates to more than 9,500 people and is also a tangible manifestation of the offerings of the best ITPLN graduates to build a country that is in accordance with the vision of International, Modern, Independent, and Superior with the core values of Integrity, Trusted, Professional, Lofty, and Nationalist.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M K, MT (The Rector of ITPLN) advised graduates to continue learning and pursue a career towards success. “The knowledge you get at this campus will be continued to be used to help the community in solving problems and challenges that will exist in the future,” he said when giving his speech for the 39th ITPLN Graduation, Thursday (18/11).

This Graduation was also attended by the EVP of Talent Development of PT PLN (Persero) Mr. Daru Tri Tjahjono to read his remarks as the Representative of the President Director of PT PLN (Persero) which is the spirit of PLN to improve itself and develop through the spirit and strategic execution of “PLN Transformation” which focuses on 4 (four) strategic objectives, i.e., Green, Lean, Innovative, and Customer Focus. He also advised “strengthen your competence, show that you are the product of the best institution, which can make a positive contribution to the life of the nation and state.

As evidence of the superiority of ITPLN, Prof. Iwa also said that ITPLN was ranked 4th as the best private university (PTS) in Indonesia according to the Times Higher Education category for the Impact Rankings 2021. Meanwhile, of the overall ranking of universities in Indonesia, ITPLN ranks 17th.

“This achievement is the fruit of hard work from the entire ITPLN academic community and must be fought for together so that in 2024 ITPLN can achieve a better ranking in the world class,” he said.

A total of 788 graduates who attended this graduation with details, Master of Electrical Engineering 3 graduates, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering 259 graduates, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, 68 graduates, Bachelor of Civil Engineering 86 graduates, Bachelor of Informatics Engineering 241 graduates, Diploma of Electrical Technology 116 graduates, and Diploma of Mechanical Engineering 15 graduates.

The best graduates are Ananda Rizky Utami and Debi Haningsih with a GPA of 3.91 with Cum Laude graduation predicate with honors.

In addition, ITPLN through the Career and Alumni Service Section (BLKA) also launched a platform for its graduates to find work. The platform, titled KarirKu, can be accessed through www.karirku.itpln.ac.id. Users can search for jobs that match their respective fields and get information and tips for developing their skills and careers.
