SIMULATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION ACCREDITATION VISITATION TOWARDS EXCELLENCE AT ITPLN

09 Dec 2021. The Directorate of Institutions of the Ministry of Cultural Education, Research and Technology carried out a Simulated Visitation in the Context of Technical Guidance for Higher Education Accreditation in 2021 to Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN).

This event was held in hybrid mode at prof. Sediyatmo room ITPLN from 09.00 to 17.00 WIB (Thursday/9/12). This activity is held to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia and technical guidance for universities to achieve excellence. Also present at ITPLN, the Assessors from the Higher Education, i.e., Prof. Ir. Johannes Hutabarat, M.Sc, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Vitus Dwi Yunianto, M.S., M.Sc.

This event was opened with remarks from the Rector of ITPLN Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa MK., MT. In his remarks, Prof. Iwa expressed his appreciation to the Assessor of Higher Education who was willing to attend the simulation visitation and provide input to ITPLN to go to higher education with superior accreditation.

Furthermore, remarks from the Higher Education Assessor Prof. Ir. Johannes Hutabarat, M.Sc, Ph.D. in his speech he said that this event aims to help universities to be able to prepare themselves and prepare matters related to higher education rankings, especially matters related to ITPLN’s efforts in achieving its Vision, the preparation also includes the readiness of all elements at ITPLN ranging from Structural, Teaching Staff, Education Staff, Students, and Alumni.

Then the agenda of the event continued with some sessions, namely presentations of ITPLN leaders and discussions, meetings with the ITPLN Quality Assurance and Middle Management Team, meetings with ITPLN Lecturers and Educators, meetings with representatives of ITPLN students and alumni, and ended with the closing session.

Hopefully, the visitation simulation event from the Higher Education can provide benefits in improving the quality and accreditation of ITPLN.
