PLN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY TOGETHER WITH SOE APERTI LAUNCHED SOE APERTI SCHOLARSHIP 2021

(APERTI BUMN) held a scholarship program for high school/vocational graduates throughout Indonesia again, namely the 2021 APERTI BUMN Scholarship.

The scholarship launch event has taken place on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 08.00 WIB virtually through the Zoom Meeting application. The event was attended by all leaders from each university, namely Institut Teknologi PLN, Universitas Pertamina, Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia, Telkom University, Politeknik Pos Indonesia, Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Logistik, Institut Teknologi Telkom Surabaya, BRI Institute, dan Institut Teknologi Telkom Purwokerto.

Scholarships are offered to high school/vocational high school graduates in 2020 or 2021 who are interested in attending undergraduate courses at one of the nine members of APERTI BUMN. Scholarship recipients will get a 100% full scholarship for the duration of their study at the chosen college. This year the BUMN APERTI scholarship will be given to 40 selected new students. The registration process starts on June 12, 2021. The scholarship winners will be announced on August 16, 2021. The selection process includes academic selection (including submitting study-report cards) and online interviews.

In his remarks, the Rector of Institut Teknologi PLN, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa MK, MT hopes that later those who receive the scholarship will not only be smart in academics but also have noble character.

The requirements to apply for the 2021 BUMN APERTI Scholarship are as follows:

1. High school / vocational / MA students graduate in 2020 and 2021
2. Attach report cards for semesters 1 – 5
3. Attach a certificate if any
4. The registration file is uploaded online on the selected College Website
5. Participants can only choose 1 college

The timeline for the 2021 BUMN APERTI Scholarship is as follows:

• 12 June 2021 = Launching of APERTI BUMN Scholarship 2021
• 23 July 2021 = Registration Deadline
• 30 July 2021 = Administrative Selection
• 06 August 2021 = Announcement of administrative selection results
• 9 – 12 August 2021 = Interview selection
• 16 August 2021 = Announcement of the winner of the 2021 APERTI BUMN Scholarship

APERTI BUMN Profile

The BUMN Higher Education Alliance (APERTI BUMN) is an association of higher education institutions affiliated with State-Owned Enterprises, which is a forum for all member universities to synergize in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. APERTI BUMN was founded by five universities, in 2017. The five universities are Institut Teknologi PLN (IT PLN, formerly the PLN Higher Technical School), Universitas Pertamina (UP), Telkom University (TEL-U), Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Logistik Indonesia (STIMLOG), and Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia (UISI).

In its development, several universities later joined the BUMN APERTI, namely (in order of time): Politeknik Pos Indonesia (Poltekpos), Institut Teknologi Telkom Surabaya (ITTS), BRI Institute and Institut Teknologi Telkom Purwokerto (ITTP). Universities that are members of APERTI BUMN already have specializations that are needed by the industrial world, ITPLN specializes in the field of electricity, TEL-U in the field of information and communication technology, Pertamina University in the energy sector, STIMLOG in the field of logistics, transportation and chain management. supply, UISI in the field of business and security technology, POLTEKPOS in logistics, supply chain management & e-commerce, ITTS in the field of communication technology, BRI Institute in the field of digital financial technology (digital financial technology) and techno-preneurship and ITTP in the field of information technology.

The advantages that are shared by universities that are members of APERTI BUMN are their proximity to industry, which allows their members to collaborate to implement the Triple Helix concept (Academic, Business, and Government).

Within the scope of education, APERTI BUMN will contribute to the field of education for underprivileged communities in Indonesia with a CSR financing mechanism for BUMN. BUMN CSR will be very beneficial for the poor to continue their higher education. The results can even be used by the SOEs themselves. In addition, the cooperation between BUMN APERTI and BUMN is expected to create efficiency from the operational side of the implementation of education, such as in terms of curriculum preparation and equalization of courses, lecturer exchanges, and utilization of facilities such as laboratories and libraries.
