On Friday, July 3, 2020, LPPM ITPLN held the 2nd Series of Webinar as a continuation of the 1st Webinar Series. Still focusing on national electricity issues during and after the pandemic, the 2nd Webinar Series has the theme “Meter Record Solutions for Producer and Consumer Justice”.

The existence of a growing polemic related to basic electricity tariffs and electricity bills in public spaces makes the parties involved in it try to find a middle way and alternative solutions that can be chosen to create a just relationship between producers and consumers in the use of electrical energy.

Acting as Keynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa Mulyana, K, ST. MT. revealed that now is the digitalization momentum to control electricity consumption carefully and measurably. On another occasion, the speakers who were involved in this activity included those from ITPLN, YLKI, and PT PLN Persero explaining how the use of Smart Meters as part of smart energy in household electricity consumption which has sophisticated features to help the community to measuring electricity consumption carefully so that no party feels disadvantaged in the future.

Smart Meters that have been actively developed by ITPLN are expected to be well socialized and able to be applied by the community. Of course, by building good chemistry between the community and service providers for electricity needs.
