MOU SIGNING WITH PT PLN (PERSERO) EDUCATION AND LEARNING CENTER (PUSDIKLAT)

After a few days ago the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Generation Main Unit (UIK SBU), on Monday, September 14, 2020, Institut Teknologi PLN (IT-PLN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (NK) with the PT PLN (Persero) Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat).

 

The signing ceremony was held online via the Zoom application. The event was attended by the General Manager of the PLN Education and Training Center, Ir. Badrul Mustafa, M.M; PLN DIRHCM which was represented by EVP Talent Development Mr. Daru Tri Tjahjono; General Chairperson of the PLN Education and Welfare Foundation (YPK-PLN) Ir. Supriyadi; Ir. Djoko Paryoto, and the ranks of YPK PLN, Managers, and Senior Managers of PT. PLN (Persero), Rector of Institut Teknologi PLN, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M. K., MT; Vice Rectors, Managers of Related Sections, and Deans of Faculties at IT-PLN.

 

This Memorandum of Understanding has the purpose to utilize the capabilities, experience, and resources possessed by ITPLN and PT PLN for the common interest related to the implementation of Education and Learning programs, and to build synergies between the two parties for the development of learning activities. Meanwhile, the scope consists of cooperation in the field of research, courses/training, including webinars, Artificial    Intelligence    development,    Virtual    Learning    Development, Certification, exchange of instructors / instructors / assessors, and scientific paper writings.

 

In his speech, the GM of PT PLN Pusdiklat, Mr. Badrul, said that the challenges in the future were not getting easier, therefore, various efforts needed to be made to be able to overcome challenges in the era of industry 4.0 and this new normal condition. PLN Corporate University is one of the company’s strategic tools in integrating learning resources that enable the realization of the best performance by continuously improving skills, knowledge, and behaviour in the business ecosystem. The signing of this MoU is considered as one of the efforts to realize the vision and mission of PLN Corporate University. With this collaboration, it is expected to optimize the resource advantages of each party, so that the quality of learning can be further improved and can encourage the improvement of competence and quality of the workforce in the electricity sector.

 

Meanwhile, the Rector of IT-PLN, Prof. Iwa Garniwa in his speech expressed his hope that this collaboration could improve the skills and capabilities of human resources not only in theory but also in practice in the electricity sector. Also, it is proposed to produce human resources who have an academic spirit as well as a practical spirit in the field. Then, the faculties at ITPLN can complement or meet the needs of HR in PT PLN.

 

While the remarks of the Director of Human Capital and Management of PT PLN, represented by Mr. Daru, was that with the signing of this MoU it is hoped that it can answer the preparation of HR needs and make a positive contribution to both parties in improving the competence and quality of HR of PT PLN and the ITPLN Academic Community.
