
Jakarta, March 2, 2024 – Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) has taken a significant step in enhancing transparency, accountability, and credibility by introducing the Whistleblowing System (WBS) at a soft launch event held on Friday, March 1, 2024. The system aims to provide a channel for the academic community to provide feedback, report violations, misconduct, changes, and/or unethical behavior on campus. The event was attended by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M K., MT, Vice Rectors, Head of the Rectorate Bureau, management team members, and faculty.
The WBS is designed to uphold integrity and promote a culture of accountability within ITPLN. It allows individuals, including students, faculty members, staff, management, and leaders, to provide feedback and report any concerns they may have regarding unethical practices or violations of policies, regulations, and/or conditions.
Prof. Iwa emphasized the institution’s commitment to transparency and ethical behavior. He stated that the WBS reflects dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability while reducing subjectivity and enhancing objectivity.
Meanwhile, Head of the Rectorate Bureau Dr. Ir. M. Ahsin Sidqi, M.M., IPU., ASEAN. Eng. stated that the WBS, likened to a “suggestion box” in the digital era, serves as an early warning system to address potential deviations before they escalate and cause adverse effects.

The launch of the Whistleblower System marks an important milestone for ITPLN as it strengthens its commitment to good governance and ethical practices. Moving forward, the institution will continue to refine and strengthen mechanisms for detecting and addressing violations, ensuring that ITPLN maintains its reputation as a leading educational institution in Indonesia.
