Institut Teknologi PLN and PLN Pusdiklat Conduct FIDIC Contract Training

Bandung, March 5, 2024 – Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) through its Training Center and PLN Pusdiklat through the PLN Unit for Training Implementation in Bogor organized an international standard contract training referring to FIDIC (Federation Internationale Des Ingenieurs Conseills). FIDIC is a globally recognized organization for publishing fair and balanced standard conditions of contract. The two-day hybrid training, held on March 4-5, 2024, was attended by 45 participants from PLN Headquarters and PLN Central Java Regional Development Unit (UIP JBT). 35 participants attended offline in Bandung, while 10 participants joined online.

The objective of the FIDIC training is to provide a better understanding of FIDIC standard contracts to reduce legal risks that may arise during construction project implementation. It also aims to understand how to effectively manage disputes in accordance with the provisions of FIDIC contracts and enhance participants’ professionalism in managing and implementing construction projects.

The training was conducted by Prof. Sarwono Hardjomuljadi Dr., Ir, MT, MH., who is a Board Member of FIDIC – International Federation of Consulting Engineers, and a FIDIC Accredited Trainer.

The closing ceremony of the FIDIC training was held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, attended by GM PLN Central Electrical Maintenance Suroso, Vice Rector 4 of ITPLN Pawenary, Director of ITPLN’s Applied Institutions Eri Prabowo, and Marketing Manager of ITPLN Training Center Dwi Listiawati.
