Jakarta, May 3, 2024 – Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) once again hosted a prestigious event by organizing a Guest Lecture with Dr. DR JOHN O SULLIVAN, Co-Director of the Geothermal Institute at Auckland University. The event discussed how to harness geothermal heat as a resource, considering Indonesia’s wealth in geothermal energy and how to utilize it effectively.
The event was attended by International Manager of the University of Auckland Jennifer Roshan, Education New Zealand Representative Naluri Bella, Vice Rector I Prof. Ir. Syamsir Abduh, MM, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng., Vice Rector II Kuswowo, S.E., M.M., M.Ak., Head of the Rectorate Bureau Dr. Ir. M. Ahsin Sidqi, M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Power and Renewable Energy Dr. Rummi Sirait, ST., MT., and others.
Prof. Syamsir expressed his gratitude to Dr. John for sharing his expertise with ITPLN students, emphasizing that this collaboration signifies the strong partnership between ITPLN and Auckland University.
John stated, “The reason we are here is because of our collaboration with ITPLN, and we will continue to grow together, especially in the energy sector.”
ITPLN has collaborated with Auckland University in the “Sandwich” program, where ITPLN students study for three years at ITPLN and one year at Auckland University.
Jennifer added, “In the seventh semester, students can join Auckland University as we know it through the sandwich program.”
