Institut Teknologi PLN Welcomes the Visit of the Fukuoka Prefecture along with PT KISS Japan Indonesia

Jakarta, March 21, 2024 – Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) welcomed the visit of PT KISS Japan Indonesia and the Fukuoka Prefectural Office to its campus. This marks the second visit from PT KISS Japan Indonesia to the ITPLN campus, this time accompanied by representatives from the Fukuoka Prefectural.

Dr. Rahmawati Hidayah, ST, M.Des, CEO of PT KISS Japan Indonesia, along with ARAMAKI Kumi, Executive Chief of the Fukuoka Prefectural Government International Bureau International Policy Division, KITAHARA Yuya, Senior Staff of the Fukuoka Prefectural Government International Bureau International Policy Division, AZUMA Tomoko, Deputy Director of the Fukuoka Prefecture Bangkok Office, were warmly received by Prof. Ir. Syamsir Abduh, MM, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng., the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Managers, Deans, and Heads of Departments.

During their visit to ITPLN, the Fukuoka Prefectural officials explained that their purpose was to promote Fukuoka Prefectural as a location with numerous industries and opportunities for internships and employment for ITPLN graduates.

Prof. Syamsir responded positively, saying, “We hope that our graduates and students seeking internships can find opportunities in Fukuoka, especially in the field of energy, as we are an applied university focused on energy.”

Dr. Rahmawati stated, “The Fukuoka Prefectural is open to foreigners who wish to come to study, work, or settle, with the Fukuoka Prefectural Office assisting in this regard.”

Yuya Kitahara added, “We are open to participants who wish to intern and work in Fukuoka, and our visit is specifically aimed at facilitating such opportunities.”

Through this collaboration with PT KISS Japan Indonesia, ITPLN has a significant opportunity to send its students for internships or employment in Japan, with the possibility of further collaboration in research between ITPLN faculty and universities in Fukuoka Prefectural.
