Jakarta, February 27, 2024 – ITPLN launches the Duri Kosambi English Village (DKEV) program to support its journey towards becoming a World Class University. The event also featured a demonstration of spoken English by students from the 2023 cohort of the Duri Kosambi English Village, represented by three students who are members of the club. DKEV is also supported by an application called LDC Speak, which is intended for all stakeholders within ITPLN, including lecturers, students, staff, and even food vendors in the ITPLN cafeteria. The application is tailored to the users’ respective roles, ensuring that the teaching materials are appropriate.
Prof. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M.K, M.T, the Rector of ITPLN, expressed his hopes during the event, stating, “We hope to transition from being a group to a society, making this one of the definite steps towards ITPLN becoming a world-class university and using English in our daily lives.”

The LDC application has been developed and is currently undergoing review by the Playstore, as it will be available and listed there. DKEV is intended to serve as a platform where students can learn and improve their English language skills, preparing them for the workforce and providing access to research journals, 80% of which are in English.

ITPLN frequently hosts Guest Lectures, making English language proficiency crucial for understanding the materials presented by the speakers. It is hoped that DKEV will have a significant impact on the development of English language proficiency among the academic community at ITPLN.
