2019 NATIONAL SEMINAR OF THE STUDENT ASSOCIATION OF DIPLOMA III ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM, DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, STT-PLN

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, the 2019 National Seminar was held by the Diploma III Electrical Engineering Study Program Student Association. This event took place from 08.00 – 15.00 WIB which took place at the Auditorium of STT-PLN Jakarta, 12^th floor (PLN Tower, Jl. Lkr. Luar Barat, RT.1/RW.1, Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta City, Special Capital Region of Jakarta 11750).

This National Seminar with the theme: “Industrial Revolution 4.0: Opportunities or Threats for Young Engineers” which invited Rachmat Indra Anwar, ST. (Human Capital Empowerment Coordinator Infinity Group) with the discussion “The Threat of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 for Young Engineers” and Dr. Darmawan Napitupulu, ST., M. Kom. (Researcher at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and Lecturer of the Postgraduate Program at Budi Luhur University) with the discussion “Opportunities for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 for Young Engineers“.

Technological developments can be a double-edged sword for young engineers because of course, most industrial companies will use robotic technology as their workforce because they are considered more efficient and effective in their work. This will be a threat to young engineers in the world of work, if they cannot develop and compete in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In addition, the development of this technology can also be a big advantage if it is used as well as possible, because it can make it easier for humans to do their work and information will become very unlimited with the development of this technology.
