PARTNERSHIP MOU SIGNING BETWEEN INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI PLN WITH PT PLN CERTIFICATION CENTER

The industrial and the academic world cannot be separated, a good synergy between the two can create extraordinary things for the benefit of society and the progress of the Indonesian nation. Institut Teknologi PLN as a campus that focuses on the world of electricity has again spread its wings in collaboration with the PT PLN (Persero) Certification Center, signing the MoU, held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the PT PLN (Persero) Certification Center Office in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

The MoU covers research, community service, development, and utilization of resources. The MoU also covers the ITPLN Student internship program, assistance from experts, joint use of various resources such as the use of laboratory equipment and test equipment, organizing seminars, workshops, and other scientific activities. Of course, the existence of this MoU can open the door for extensive cooperation between ITPLN and PT PLN (Persero) Certification Center in various scopes.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by the General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Certification Center Mr. Ir. Septa Hamid, M.Si and his staff. Meanwhile, from the ITPLN, it was attended by the Rector of ITPLN Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa M K, MT; Vice Rector II Mr. Drs. Moh. Ahsan, MM; Manager of Cooperation, Mr. Ir. Ishvandono Yunaini, MM; Dean of FTBE Mr. Drs. Prayudi, MT, MM; Dean of FTIK Mr. Abdul Rokhman, ST., M. Eng; and some of the event support staff.

In his speech, Prof. Iwa said that ITPLN as a campus that focuses on electricity has supporting facilities for learning and research such as Mini PLTU and Micro Hydro Power Plants which until now are rarely owned by other universities and with the 35000 megawatt program launched by the Government, of course, the need for Human Resources is very high in order to support the program so that it can run successfully, so that ITPLN prepares its graduates to become experts in the electricity sector.

Mr. Ir. Septa Hamid, Msi in his speech said that the growing and challenging electricity industry is expected with the cooperation between ITPLN, and PT PLN (Persero) Certification Center can bring progress, glory, and prosperity in the field of knowledge and technology.

After the signing ceremony was carried out, it ended with a visit to the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) which is a product of the PT PLN (Persero) Certification Center which is in the main parking lot.

Hopefully, with this signing, it is hoped that it will be able to open new horizons for both parties in the world of Education, Technology, Research, and Business.
