MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNING BETWEEN INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI PLN AND DR. SOETOMO UNIVERSITY

Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 10.00 – 11.00 WIB, an online signing of a Memorandum of Understanding was held between Institut Teknologi PLN and Dr. Soetomo University concerning the Implementation of Education, Research, Community Service, and Institutional Resource Development. The event was attended by Institut Teknologi PLN Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa as the Rector of Institut Teknologi PLN, the Vice Rectors, and several other parts. Meanwhile, dr. Soetomo University was attended by Mrs. Dr. Siti Marwiyah., S.H., M.H as rector of Dr. Soetomo University, vice rectors, and several other sections.

The event was opened by the Rector of Institut Teknologi PLN. In his remarks he said that as we know this collaboration is generally about Education and Teaching, where we can exchange lecturers, students, and community service in accordance with their respective fields, of course, that this is part of the Tridarma of Higher Education.

This collaboration is very important when we want to plan a program for the future progress of each university. Furthermore, the remarks by the Rector of the University, Dr. Soetomo, in her remarks, she said that in order to support the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) Program, ITPLN and Dr. Soetomo University can collaborate in student exchanges, research, community service.

In the field of research, Dr. Soetomo University has Journals from each Faculty which can later exchange and fill out journals. In this event, Institut Teknologi PLN delivered a presentation on the “Information Technology Certification Center ITPLN” the presentation was delivered by Mr. Hendra Jatnika, S.Kom., M.Kom as the Head of the ITCC Lab. The event continued with a discussion between ITPLN and Dr. Soetomo University in the context of sustainable cooperation.

Hopefully, the cooperation outlined through the Memorandum of Understanding between Institut Teknologi PLN and Dr. Soetomo University can run and produce good progress and benefit both parties.
